NRI businessman pays Rs 1 crore to save Indian man on death row

An Indian national awaiting capital punishment in a prison in Abu Dhabi has got a second lease of life. Becks Krishnan, 45, was sentenced to death by the UAE Supreme Court for killing a Sudanese boy. Krishnan’s family approached MA Yusuffali, chairman of Lulu Group who helped secure, and also paid the Rs 1 cr, compensation agreement to the victim’s family for Krishnan’s pardon.NRI – The Times of India
